It’s 2014

It’s 2014,  and I’m still not comfortable with touchscreen phones. Is it just me or is the world moving too fast technologically. What we really need for the world is some digital isolation from all these gadgets that make your life really fast.

It’s often said that technology saves time. But what do people do with this saved time? You don’t actually hear someone telling you that they used the time they saved up by using the Word Processor to get a massage or to chill out and drink some beers. No! People save time with technology and then do more work in that saved time. This is a vicious circle that man has trapped himself into. We need to slow down in life and take a break from cellular phones, computers and everything that makes our lives more connected. We need to disconnect people in the world because it’s just become really annoying that everyone can keep in touch wherever they are.

And we need buttons on mobile phones, not touchscreens!

And we need more toggle switches in life. In case you don’t know what toggle switches are, they look like this –

Toggle switches are really sexy. It’s such a shame that we don’t have them around so much nowadays. I remember that I had a lamp which had a toggle switch. Every time I flipped that toggle switch on, I felt like I was sitting in the cockpit of  an aircraft.
